For years, I tried everything. Extreme diets. Intense workout programs. Vegetarian. Vegan Whole-food Vegan. Even weight loss surgery. I was constantly chasing the next thing that promised fast results, only to end up exhausted, overwhelmed, and starting over again. Sound familiar?
At my heaviest, everyday life became difficult. Tying my shoes or putting on socks left me out of breath. I avoided mirrors, pictures, and even moments with my family because I didn’t recognize the person looking back at me. That was my breaking point.
What I’ve learned through this journey is that real change doesn’t come from destroying your life trying to be healthy. It comes from building simple habits you can actually live with. I’m still on this journey myself, but everything started changing when I discovered something life-changing: small, consistent habits beat extreme plans every single time. I stopped trying to be perfect and started focusing on consistency instead. Walking more. Eating simpler. Giving myself grace. Showing up even on imperfect days.
